June 4, 2014 ó The nuclear energy industry opened the first regional response center in Phoenix on May 22 as part of its post-Fukushima FLEX safety strategy. The Phoenix response center, like its sister facility which opened in Memphis on June 27, hosted five full sets of supplemental emergency equipment ready to be shipped to any of the nationís 100 nuclear reactors if needed. One of the air transportable 480-volt emergency turbine generators on display at the opening ceremony is Turbine Marine's 1MW Compact Series Portable 4160V Emergency Generator
